Child Care Education Institute is approved by the Washington State Training and Registry System (STARS) to conduct STARS Continuing Education training. Every calendar year after meeting the 20-hour basic training requirement, child care providers must take 10 hours of self-selected continuing education. For directors and program supervisors, 5 of the 10 hours must be in administration. ChildCare Education Institute’s CDA Program may be used to fulfill the education requirements for the CDA National Credentialing Program required by the Council for Professional Recognition.
