CCEI Reaches New Milestones and Offers a No-Cost Online Course During WOYC

ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI), an accredited online child care training institution, is proud to announce that its students have completed more than 900,000 professional development hours and over 5,000 certificate programs online. CCEI appreciates everyone’s support and offers Critical Thinking Skills in the Preschool Environment course at no-cost during Week of the Young Child™ (WOYC), April 14 – 20, 2013.

Over the past eight years, CCEI has provided quality online child care training coursework, and students continue to appreciate the competency-based, self-paced coursework that allows them to fulfill their training requirements at home, work, the library, or anywhere they have Internet access. Organizations and individuals across the country choose CCEI for its professional development courses and certificate programs to continue education and satisfy requirements. In addition to the new industry-relevant courses added to the catalog throughout the year, CCEI also maintains college credit recommendations awarded by the National College Credit Recommendation Service (National CCRS), which can provide a bridge from online CCEI certificate programs that articulate to an early childhood degree program.

The celebration of the Week of the Young Child™ is an annual occurrence sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and the intention is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. The 2013 Week of the Young Child™ theme is Early Years Are Learning Years® and CCEI provides its Critical Thinking training course at no-cost during that time.

“CCEI continues to be a top provider of online professional development in the early care industry, and we’re fortunate to have so many early childhood professionals choose us for their professional development needs,” said Maria C. Taylor, President and CEO of ChildCare Education Institute. “We share NAEYC’s goals of focusing on early education, and encourage everyone to learn from our Critical Thinking course at no cost during Week of the Young Child.”
