ChildCare Education Institute® (CCEI), a distance learning professional development and certificate provider, offers SOC102: From Chaotic to Calm: Managing Stress in the Classroom as an online no-cost trial child care training course to new CCEI users during the month of April.
Children begin experiencing stress at an early age, and it’s important for childcare providers to provide stability and guidance to help children cope with that stress. This course will provide an understanding of childhood stress and will give information, activity ideas, and tools for easing children’s anxieties and worries in the classroom. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to identify various sources of stress, demonstrate understanding of recommended steps in conflict resolution, identify key elements of the temporal and physical environment that build self-esteem in children, and much more.
“It’s critical for early childhood educators to understand the signs and symptoms of stress in young children” says Maria C. Taylor, President and CEO of CCEI. “This course provides useful information to help early care providers identify stress in their students, and then help them build and develop a foundation of healthy emotional skills.”
This beginner-level training course is available as a trial course to new users with CCEI account creation in April. Current CCEI users with active, unlimited annual subscriptions can enroll in professional development courses at no additional cost when logged in to their CCEI account. Users without subscriptions can purchase child care training courses as block hours through CCEI online enrollment.
