ChildCare Education Institute Announces New Five Clock-Hour Courses Added to their Professional Development Library

Duluth, GA/ May 25, 2011 – ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI), an IACET approved and nationally accredited distance training institution dedicated exclusively to the child care industry, is proud to announce the addition of several new, five (5) clock-hour courses to their Professional Development Course Catalog.

Early child care providers are required to meet annual, in-service training requirements for ongoing education. In order to further satisfy licensing requirements, CCEI has introduced twelve (12) new, five clock-hour professional development courses worth 0.5 CEUs each, now available in the CCEI Course Catalog. Courses offered include: Curriculum Enrichment, Inclusion and Special Needs, Child Care Management, Observation and Assessment, and various others. In addition to these extended professional development courses, child care staff may continue to meet training requirements with certificate options in CCEI’s Certificate Programs of Study catalog.

“CCEI is committed to meeting the evolving needs of the child care workforce. Many states encourage providers to take courses longer than one hour so that they get deep information on one topic instead of top level information on many topics. We added these new multiple hour courses to meet this need,” said Maria C. Taylor, President and CEO of CCEI.
