Duluth, GA/ February 24, 2011 – ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI), a nationally accredited distance training institution dedicated exclusively to the child care industry, is proud to announce the addition of a new course, The Eco-Friendly Child Care Center, Green Lifestyle and Environmental Health.
Health and safety issues resulting from exposure to environmental hazards are an increasing concern in the child care setting. In this course, child care providers can learn strategies for reducing environmental risks and promoting a “green” lifestyle in order to conserve precious resources and ensure the long-term health of young children. Students can register for this course through their CCEI account. Upon successful completion of the course, students will earn 0.1 IACET CEU and receive a printable Certificate of Completion.
“Early childhood professionals are encouraged to promote a ‘green’ lifestyle to reduce exposure to potentially harmful conditions and maintain a healthy, safe child care environment. Children have an increased chance of achieving overall wellbeing now and throughout life if eco-friendly practices are encouraged from an early age,” said Maria Taylor, President and CEO of CCEI.
