Storytelling for Enrichment, Early Literacy, and Fun
This course provides comprehensive guidance for incorporating storytelling into the early childhood environment. Participants will learn why storytelling is important for young children, as well as strategies for effective storytelling and rich follow-up activities such as group discussion and playacting.
Successfully Marketing Your Program
This course is designed to introduce marketing basics that relate to early childhood programs. Students will learn to properly define the product offered by a child care center and develop effective marketing strategies targeted at specific communities and families. Students will also learn to develop effective enrollment and retention strategies to maximize marketing efforts.
Supporting Children and Families Who Have Experienced Trauma
This course explores the developmental impacts of different types of family trauma, from parent incarceration, family separation and military deployment, to domestic violence, addiction, and loss of a loved one. Participants will learn ways, based on current brain research, to structure support for children and families who have experienced trauma. Specific classroom strategies and parent resources are also provided.
Supporting Spiritual Development in Early Learning Environments
This course is based upon the work of Deborah Schein, author of the book titled Inspiring Wonder, Awe, and Empathy – Spiritual Development in Young Children. The course explores what spiritual development is and why it is important to overall development. Participants will also learn how to create moments within their learning environments that promote spiritual development in young children.
Technology and Social Media Policy in the Early Care and Education Environment
This course examines the impact of digital technologies, the Internet, and social media on the early care and education environment and offers recommended strategies and best practices for using various technological tools. Program policies are a central focus of the comprehensive course, with emphasis on crafting policies that best promote effective, high-quality care.

Individual Annual Subscription
For $99, a child care professional can purchase an Individual Annual Professional Development Subscription. The subscription allows unlimited access to CCEI’s professional development course catalog for the year of the subscription.

The Child Care Center-Based Annual Subscription is the most manageable, accessible and cost-effective method for a center to provide its staff with training to meet annual licensing professional development needs. CCEI offers two child care center-based subscriptions:
