ChildCare Education Institute® (CCEI), a distance learning professional development and certificate provider, offers CCEI760: Rainbows and Rembrandts: Including Fine Art in Young Children’s Programs as an online no-cost trial child care training course
to new CCEI users during the month of March.
Art is an essential aspect of any early childhood program. A well-planned art curriculum promotes skills and growth across all developmental domains. This course is designed to provide an understanding of the development of aesthetic appreciation of art in preschool children. In addition, the course will examine methods for bringing additional art experiences to the children through the use of expert resources, field trips and parental involvement. Upon successful completion of this course, early child care professionals will be able to define appropriate methods of acquainting young children with fine works of art.
“Art activities provide young children with sensory learning experiences they can enjoy at their own pace” says Maria C. Taylor, President and CEO of CCEI. “This course provides helpful information about the developmental benefits of art, and provides recommendations for useful art activities in the classroom.”
This intermediate-level training course is available as a trial course to new users with CCEI account creation in March. Current CCEI users with active, unlimited annual subscriptions can enroll in professional development courses at no additional cost when logged in to their CCEI account. Users without subscriptions can purchase child care training courses as block hours through CCEI online enrollment.
