Indiana Child Care Training and Courses

Indiana does not have an official process to approve training. However, based on Indiana Rule 4.7 Child Care Centers, Licensing description of training, courses offered by ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI) may be accepted by the Indiana Family & Social Services Administration, Division of Family Resources, to meet annual in-service training requirements. Field Licensing Consultants determine training compliance during record audits.  For additional information regarding the acceptance of CCEI’s coursework in Indiana, visit their website or contact the Bureau of Child Care Information Line at 877.511.1144.

CCDBG Training: The following CCEI courses are approved by Indiana Family and Social Services Administration to satisfy their CCDBG training requirements:

  • “ADM103 – Transportation and Field Trip Safety for Child Care Centers”
  • “HLTH107 – CCDBG Health and Safety Basics”
  • “CCEI117 – Sudden Infant Death Syndrome”
  • “CCEI118 – Shaken Baby Syndrome”

CCEI is an approved training partner by the Council for Professional Recognition (the Council) and coursework can be used to fulfill the training requirements needed to obtain the National CDA Credential in English and Spanish.
