June 2021 Student Spotlight – Adilene Raya

My name is Adilene Raya.  I am 27 years-old and I currently live in Kissimmee, Florida.  I have been working as an early learning teacher since 2017 and I have loved every minute of it.  Growing up, I always knew that I wanted to be an elementary teacher, never did I imagine that years later I would become an early learning teacher.  I love teaching because I know that I am able to make a difference in a child’s life from an early point in their lives. I always give 100% when it comes to teaching.  I teach from my heart and seeing that my students come to school excited and ready to learn makes me the happiest person.

Our favorite time of the day together is definitely circle time, we love sharing stories, and reading books. Spending one-on-one time with each of them is my favorite time of the day because to me is important for them to know that I am extremely interested in what goes on in their lives. Seeing them develop mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally motivates me to do more each day.

I want to continue teaching until I am able to accomplish my dream of opening my own early learning center in the near future.  The next goal that I want to accomplish is to begin taking my Director’s Credential with ChildCare Education Institute.  I love CCEI and how convenient and easy it was to complete my coursework. When I was in the process of completing my Florida Child Care Professional Credential each of the courses were easy to understand. If I needed any help or had a question my Education Coach was there helping me along the process. I love the variety of courses that CCEI has to offer and I recommend CCEI to everyone that wants to pursue their career as an early childhood educator.
