Outdoor Learning Activities: School-Agers

  • Provide a collection of cardboard boxes and balls and introduce a life-size version of the game Angry Birds. Children could also create outdoor versions of other favorite indoor or electronic games.
  • Create a stage and encourage children to put on plays and talent shows.
  • Create a series of physical team building activities or challenging puzzles (think Minute to Win It) that children must work together to solve. Some ideas can be found here: http://www.ventureteambuilding.co.uk/team-building-activities/
  • Set up a carnival and create games out of recycled materials. Invite the younger children to attend the carnival, play games, and win prizes.
