ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI) coursework is provided through CCEI’s trainer, Laura Anderson Hamilton, who is an approved Intermediate Trainer with the Washington Managed Education and Registry Information Tool (MERIT) system. Through this approval, CCEI training is accepted by the Washington State Department of Early Learning to meet licensing requirements. Laura Anderson Hamilton is also approved by the Washington State Training and Registry System (STARS) to conduct STARS Continuing Education Training. ChildCare Education Institute’s coursework may be used to fulfill the training requirements required by the Council for Professional Recognition to obtain the National CDA Credential.

Please Note:

CCEI117: Sudden Infant Syndrome is not approved for MERIT hours for WA staff. Washington has specific rules regarding this training and the training must be presented in person by specially trained presenters.

HLTH102: Preventing the Spread of Bloodborne Pathogens (HLTH102 can be used to satisfy the state health and safety requirement for bloodborne pathogens training but is not approved to award STARS hours and is not approved in the MERIT system.  Providers must self-report to the state that the training is complete.)
