Washington Child Care Training and Courses
Courses offered in child-related subjects by ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI) may be accepted as Non-State Approved training.
Note: Washington does not accept CCEI training certificates for courses that cover topics that are federally required:
Policy 503. Federally-Required Training Topics WAC 110-300-106 lists federally-required training topics for licensed providers. This includes, but is not limited to, the following topic areas as required by WAC 110-300-0106: recognizing and reporting suspected child abuse, neglect, and exploitation (section 4), emergency preparedness (section 5), prevention and identification of shaken baby syndrome/abuse head trauma (section 6), serving children experiencing homelessness (section 7), safe sleep (section 8), medication management and administration (section 9), exposure to blood and bodily fluids (section 10), first-aid and CPR (section 11), and food handling (section 12).

CCEI is an approved training partner by the Council for Professional Recognition (the Council) and coursework can be used to fulfill the training requirements needed to obtain the National CDA Credential in English and Spanish.
