Conflict Resolution in the Early Childhood Environment
This course offers strategies and practices for addressing and resolving a wide variety of social, emotional, and behavioral conflicts likely to arise in the early childhood environment.
Foundations of Positive Guidance
This is an introductory course to positive guidance, a philosophy and strategy for guiding children’s behaviors and learning experiences. The course will explore the elements of child development that influence positive guidance strategies and some basic implementation practices for use in the child care setting. This course presents basic recommendations for designing and maintaining a safe, healthy, productive learning environment for school-age children. The course is intended primarily for childcare professionals who care for school-age
children in an afterschool setting but is also relevant and helpful for anyone who works with children in grade K and up.
Understanding Aggressive and Defiant Behaviors
Aggressive and defiant behaviors in children pose tremendous challenges to adults at every level, from the early childhood environment through high school. In this course, participants will learn about the underlying causes of aggressive behavior, the reasons why aggressive behaviors cannot be ignored, and strategies and practices for helping children develop positive social-emotional skills.

Individual Annual Subscription
For $99, a child care professional can purchase an Individual Annual Professional Development Subscription. The subscription allows unlimited access to CCEI’s professional development course catalog for the year of the subscription.
Child Care Center-Based Subscription
The Child Care Center-Based Annual Subscription is the most manageable, accessible and cost-effective method for a center to provide its staff with training to meet annual licensing professional development needs. CCEI offers two child care center-based subscriptions:
